2024 Book List

Motherhood provides a new dimension in my reading adventures. Logged titles are found in baby love's Beanstack account. Those rhyming, irreverent passages don't exactly quench my soul's thirst to dally through novel, thought-provoking verbal expressions. It felt like a chore logging my own reading pursuits while baby love cruised through her first solar revolution. 2024 will be a free-form laundry list of my conquest over 200 non-juvenile titles. Yes, I included juvenile titles in the past, but I want to encourage myself to explore my own leisure delights intended for deeper interpretive sleuthing. I enjoy the wonderment of the vivid illustrations and musical passages of board books and other visual presentations intended for beginners of the English language, but I want to continue to challenge myself to reach a wider breadth of thought. The free-form list is less intimidating.

July 10 Addendum: I want to log the books I've started to read to reveal the breadth of thoughts I started to encounter and wrestle with, but was occupied with other fascinations or untimely distractions that I didn't pivot away from.

Belt mean no need rope to hold up pants

Yesterday's Results The scale reads: 145 lbs. Goal: 137 lbs. The stupid Wal*mart pedometer reads: 3375 steps, 0.852 mi., 140 calories (Lies again - the pedometer reset with my notice) Other aerobic activities: Snoring :( My ma has one. My future mother-in-law has one. According to one website, "Neoprene belt helps shed inches and fat around the waist. Lose weight naturally around the waistline." So far, no offense to them, I haven't seen it work for either one of them. I honestly never worn belts. Even at a slimmer physique, I didn't care or need to wear belts. To this day, I love wearing baggy jeans, but I never sag. My hope is even if I lose weight, I wouldn't need to go purchasing new baggy jeans. What fitness accessories can help (I do know there are no one-stop-cure-alls out there) lose the weight "naturally?" So far I have ankle weights and small weighted gloves.

Last Month's Results The scale reads: 145 lbs. Goal: 127 lbs. I can't believe 8 weeks has passed already! Look what I have accomplished within that time: I've earned the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award ! See, I earned myself some golden stars! I could've technically had 7 shiny, golden badges of accomplishment, but I had forgotten to keep track of my steps while I was in Southern CA (The first week of the challenge). I think I actually did more walking during that trip compared to the last 7 weeks of this endeavor. I guess it was silly of me to initiate the challenge before going on the trip. Regardless, I'm content with the results because: I was able to reach my goal. I was dedicated to this endeavor and a positive result came of it. I got the award electronically . I wasn't going to dish out 6 buckos and some change to get the paper one with stickers and a badge. There were many stressful periods during the weeks, but I walked off most of t...

Energy

Progress Report Mind: Embracing walking meditations Making progress on that Headspace 365 days streak (Currently at a 25 days streak) Body: Leslie Sansone's 6 Week Challenge Soul: Doodling My, my. Coffee ice cream has kept me up for the last 4 hours. I am not a fan of this nervous energy. This caffeine sensitivity to a coffee extract is frustrating at the midnight hour. Anyways... The Jessica Smith love is still going strong through the last however many years. Her January 2019 challenge is infectiously encouraging me to try, try anything and everything again. My anchoring mantra for the year is "energy." Every day is an opportunity to get and spread more energy. My optimistic conscience is pushing for 365 days of positive energy! To this end, the new goal for the progress reports is to record the positive developments in mind, body, and soul with less nag and fuss, which usually deplete energy.
